The Opportunity
We are seeking a Result-Oriented Data Analyst with a strong background in system analysis, development, and data management. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience across multiple platforms, with expertise in handling business intelligence data and leading projects from requirement analysis to implementation. This role requires a strong understanding of operational and technological demands, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams and contributing to key projects involving data migration, automation, and system upgrades. Your Mission:
- Data Collection & Analysis: Gather, clean, and process data from various sources (databases, spreadsheets, external) for detailed analysis.
- Data Migration & ETL Development: Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to manage data across multiple systems using IBM Infosphere DataStage and other tools.
- Project Leadership: Lead projects through all phases of the SDLC, including requirement gathering, analysis, design, and implementation.
- Data Visualization: Create data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI to present findings and insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and decision-makers to meet business needs and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities and deliver solutions that enhance business processes.
- Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshoot issues, and manage resources to meet project deadlines.
- Process Optimization: Identify operational inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions to improve system performance and customer satisfaction.
- Testing & Documentation: Prepare and review requirements documents, test cases, and system documentation to ensure quality and accuracy of deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data to uncover trends and provide actionable insights.
- ETL & Data Warehousing: Extensive experience in designing and implementing ETL processes using IBM Infosphere DataStage, SQL, and database tools.
- Data Visualization: Experience in building interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data and system-related challenges.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to collaborate with business users and technical teams to deliver solutions that meet both operational and business requirements.
Technical Expertise:
- ETL Tools: IBM Infosphere DataStage 11.7
- Databases: DB2, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server
- Languages: SQL, Unix Scripting (Putty, SSH Tectia), Python, Teradata BTEQ Scripts
- Scheduling Tools: Control M, Autosys, ESP, Stonebranch
- Data Visualization: Power BI
- Methodologies: Agile and Waterfall
- MS Office Tools: Excel, PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in Data Analysis, ETL Development, and Data Warehousing.
- Experience in major industries such as Banking, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
- Experience working with large-scale data migration projects (e.g., Azure platform migration, FedEx/TNT data integration).
- Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
