Senior Analyst Engineer – DBA (Database Administrator)
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Analyst Engineer – Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, optimize, and enhance database performance. This role requires expertise in PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases, and ETL processes, along with strong skills in data modeling, performance tuning, and cloud technologies.

Experience Required
- 5-7 years of experience in database administration and performance engineering.
Key Responsibilities
1. Database Design & Optimization
- Design and implement scalable database models for high-performance applications.
- Optimize query execution, reduce deadlocks, and enhance database efficiency.
- Automate backup, purging, and archival processes for improved system performance.
- Scale production databases to handle high-traffic environments.
2. Database Administration & Security
- Administer and optimize PostgreSQL, Oracle, and NoSQL databases.
- Implement data security policies, encryption, and access controls.
- Perform reverse engineering of legacy database applications for modernization.
- Manage database migrations and transformations with minimal downtime.
3. ETL & Reporting
- Develop and implement ETL processes for seamless data integration.
- Perform ETL testing and validation to ensure data integrity.
- Work with Power BI for reporting and analytics, creating actionable insights.
- Ensure accurate SQL-based database validation between DB and Endur.
4. Performance Engineering & Solution Designing
- Conduct database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Design high-availability database infrastructure solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database operations.
5. Project Management & Agile Development
- Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, including SRS, test cases, and test plans.
- Lead release management activities and ensure smooth system iterations.
- Work in an Agile development environment, participating in all Agile ceremonies.
Essential Skills & Expertise
- Database Management: PostgreSQL, Oracle, NoSQL databases.
- Data Integration & ETL: ETL process development, data modeling, and testing.
- Performance Optimization: Query tuning, deadlock resolution, and automation.
- Cloud Technologies: Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Snowflake.
- Technical Expertise: SQL, Python, and database security implementation.
- Analytical Thinking: Problem-solving, stakeholder collaboration, and documentation.
- Project Management: Agile methodologies, resource planning, and reporting.
Key Tasks & Deliverables
- Database Analysis & Development: Identify and implement performance improvements for PostgreSQL or Oracle databases.
- Data Transformation & ETL: Execute SSIS transformations (Aggregations, Audit, Cache Transform) and manage database migrations.
- Data Validation & Reporting: Perform SQL-based database validation and generate insights using Power BI.
- Project Management & Stakeholder Collaboration: Oversee resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and weekly progress reporting.
