Job Opportunity: ITSM and IT Asset Management Developer
About the Role: We are seeking a skilled ITSM and IT Asset Management Developer to lead the implementation and optimization of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes within ServiceNow. This pivotal role ensures efficient service delivery, lifecycle management, and data governance to align IT operations with business goals.

Responsibilities
ITSM Implementation and Optimization
- Configure, deploy, and enhance ServiceNow ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management).
- Collaborate with service owners to standardize and optimize workflows for consistency and efficiency.
- Define and monitor SLAs, OLAs, and KPIs for continuous improvement.
IT Asset Management (ITAM) Lifecycle
- Manage end-to-end IT asset lifecycle processes, from procurement to retirement.
- Ensure data accuracy for hardware, software, and configuration items (CIs) within the asset repository.
- Develop asset tagging, inventory management, and compliance monitoring practices.
Compliance and Audit Readiness
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and licensing standards (ISO, SOX) through effective data governance.
- Align ITAM records with software licensing agreements to prevent risks.
- Prepare audit documentation and reports for internal and external reviews.
Automation and Efficiency
- Develop automation workflows for tasks like asset tracking and incident categorization to improve response times.
- Utilize scripting tools to streamline processes and reduce errors.
Collaboration and Training
- Partner with IT, Procurement, Finance, and other stakeholders to align ITSM and ITAM strategies with organizational goals.
- Conduct training sessions to promote adherence to ITSM and ITAM policies.
Continuous Improvement and Reporting
- Evaluate ITSM and ITAM processes for optimization opportunities and implement improvements.
- Generate actionable reports on asset usage, compliance, and service levels to support decision-making.
Skills and Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in ServiceNow ITSM & ITAM modules, including CMDB and Software Asset Management.
- Proficiency in automation scripting (JavaScript, PowerShell) and ServiceNow Flow Designer.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks (ITIL v3/ITIL 4 certification preferred).
Soft Skills:
- Analytical problem-solving with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
- Training and knowledge transfer expertise.
Experience:
- 2+ years in ITSM/ITAM roles, with hands-on experience in ServiceNow.
- Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (ITSM/ITAM), ITIL Foundation or higher.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or related field.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like ISO 27001 and SOX.
