What You’ll Do:
- Define and maintain architectural standards and technical strategy for RPG LE applications.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers within the Agile POD.
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to translate insurance business requirements into scalable designs.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex system issues, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure system integrity, data consistency, and adherence to performance benchmarks.
- Evaluate and integrate related tools and modernization strategies for IBM iSeries environments.
What You Bring:
- 10+ years of experience in RPG IV/RPG LE (ILE RPG) development.
- Strong expertise in IBM iSeries (AS/400), DB2/400, CL, DDS, and service programs.
- Proven leadership in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent understanding of the insurance domain is highly preferred.
- Experience with modern development practices (CI/CD, Git, unit testing frameworks).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to UI development using HTML, CSS, ReactJS/Angular. .NET C#.
- Knowledge of modernization techniques like API enablement or refactoring
