What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and cases for RPG-based applications.
- Implement automated test scripts and routines tailored to IBM iSeries systems.
- Conduct integration, regression, and performance testing for RPG LE (ILE RPG) programs.
- Validate insurance transaction results and support the preparation of test data.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation for test strategies, known issues, and release notes.
What You Bring:
- 4+ years of experience in QA/testing of RPG LE applications or IBM iSeries (AS/400) systems.
- Strong understanding of RPG IV/LE program logic, CL commands, and DB2/400 file structures.
- Hands-on experience with QA automation tools like Rational Test, ARCAD, or similar IBM i-specific frameworks.
- Familiarity with the insurance domain, especially policy lifecycles or rating systems, is a strong plus.
- Agile mindset with proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Git.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
